Rameshwaram Cafe
On a Saturday morning, with no mood to cook, me and my wife were wondering about having something yummy, something simple yet tasty to eat. We have been to almost all restaurants in Fremont, and nothing really stood up. When you cannot find something then most likely you will ask a friend. In this day and age we call google to guide our way to find something open near us. A new name showed up, Rameshwaram cafe, this was a new name, surprisingly it was very close to where we live. We followed the suggestion and were headed to a restaurant that offers Bangalorean food.
Arriving promptly at 10:30 AM, we claimed the distinction of being the first guests of the day. Seated by a window, we perused the menu using the convenient QR code provided. There were few item on the menu outside of our food vocabulary. So we decided to ask our server for any recommendations, suggested Poyliyogure. We had no idea what that was, how it would taste. Since this was our first time, we din’t wanted to take risk. We tried something safer to test the waters. Well one thing to note, there was no item on the menu that was higher than $8.0, so there was not much to risk ;).
Our order comprised a classic Plain Dosa, the enticing Combo of the Day “Mini Tiffin” featuring Dosa, Vada, Pongal, Kharabath, a sweet dish, and Filter Coffee, as well as Uddina Vada and Punugulu (rice pakoda). The dishes arrived promptly, a testament to the restaurant’s efficiency, albeit with us being the sole patrons at that early hour. The flavors were a delightful blend of familiarity and novelty, satisfying our taste buds without breaking the bank.
In conclusion, our impromptu visit to Rameshwaram Cafe turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The welcoming ambiance, prompt service, and affordable yet flavorful offerings left us with a positive impression. For fellow food enthusiasts seeking an introduction to Bangalorean cuisine without venturing too far, Rameshwaram Cafe might just be the hidden gem you’re looking for in Fremont.
Rameshwaram Cafe
Food was really good, we liked everything we ordered. Their Sambar, green chutney, Filter coffee were really good and they serve their food in bamboo plates. Below is a breakdown of other key categories that I think would be helpful.
- Food taste – “I would go again”
- Cleanliness – Good
- Quality of Service – Good
- Price Ranges – Reasonable
Quantifying the taste of food is challenging on any scale; instead, I prefer to express my likelihood of returning to a restaurant as a more meaningful measure.
